The EBOW Edge -Overview and Key Concept Bullet Summary:
The Keys to Effective Biblical Outreach & Witness -EBOW:

1. The Use and Implementation of the Word (of God) Mark 4:1-20
Psalm 107:20 He (God) sent forth His WORD and He healed them and saved them…
-God sends forth His Word to Rescue, what are we sending???
Heb. 4:12  The Word of God is Living and Powerful (to reveal truth and bring salvation).
-God’s Word is the supernatural agent that penetrates a heart effectively!
Romans 10:17(The Message)  Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
-The Word of God supernaturally activates the ability to hear truth !
James 1:21 …receive with meekness the engrafted Word which is able to save your souls.
-God’s Word is able to merge with the Human soul and bring it to salvation.
1 Pet. 1:22-23 …born again…through the Word of God which lives and abides forever.
-New life comes by the work of the Spirit through the life-giving seed of God’s Word.

EBOW Action Points  -for implementing the Word:
~Know God’s Word well enough to incorporate it dynamically into your witness (Col. 3:16).
~Prayerfully develop a strategy. Romans Road (Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:6-8, 10:9-13) John‘s cry
( John 3:3-18) or other effective scripture strategies and misc. verses.
Remember we probably won‘t do what we don’t plan to do!

2. The Use and Implementation of the Law (of God) 1Cor. 1:18
Romans 3:19  …whatever the law says, it says …that every mouth my be stopped and all the world may become guilty before God.
-The Law stops our mouths from defending and justifying ourselves and leaves us guilty.
Romans 3:20  …by the Law…no flesh will be justified…for by the Law is the knowledge of sin.
-The Law of God doesn’t justify us, it activates the awareness of sin in our lives.
Romans 3:21-23 …for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
-The Law witnesses powerfully, that we all fall short of the mark and need the Savior.
Romans 7:7 …I would not have known sin except through the Law.
-God’s Law brings an effective & intensified awareness of the fact that, we sin & are sinners.
Galatians 3:24  Therefore the Law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
-The Law is a tutor (Intellectual escort) that leads us to the grace of God in Christ.
Psalm 19:7  The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting (transforming, miraculously changing) the soul.
-The Law is what God made perfect &  supremely adequate to bring a sinner to salvation.
Luke 18:18-23 (Christ’s example) …You know the Commandments…
-Christ Himself used the Law to confront the lost with the false security of self-righteousness.

The Message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, dying, progressively decaying under   the effect of sin and it’s blindness, but, to those of us who are being
saved the message of the cross is the Power of God. How can we change that? That the message of the cross is foolishness to the unsaved? How can we help a blinded
unregenerate sinner see the wonder and power of the Message of the cross  and ultimately see their need to receive and accept it.  It’s so clear. The Law of the Lord is perfect
converting the soul.

EBOW Action Points  -for implementing the Law:
~Don’t relapse back into an old ineffective method, due to nervousness or the force of habit (1 Cor. 2:4).
~Love God & people enough to ask the hard questions that may bring the to Christ ( Mk. 10:18-19).
~Christ proclaimed the Gospel to the poor ; the humble and honest in heart, (Matt. 11:5) and always used and applied the Law to the proud; those insisting on the merit of their
self-righteousness to be right with God (Lk. 18:19-22, 1Pet. 5:5-6). God’s way is; Law to the proud, to soften their hard heart (Mk. 4:16-17), & grace to the humble, hearts that
are ready to receive the truth of the good news of  Christ (Lk. 7:36-50).
~Remember the principles of kindness and acceptance. People are drawn to them (Lk. 19:1-10, Rom. 2:4).
3. The Use and Implementation of the Spirit (of God) Acts 1:8, *John 3:3-8
Zech. 4:6  …not by might, not by power, but, by my Spirit says the Lord.
-The Church has resorted to many man generated means & methods, and few of them can be used and anointed by God’s Spirit. Man’s methods and means
produce false converts who are liabilities rather the assets to the work of Christ’s Kingdom.
John 15:5  The Lord Jesus said…for without me you can do nothing.
-Ministry that is attempted without the Lord’s counsel  & strength will produce limited results.
John 16:7-9 And when He has come, He (The Holy Spirit) will convict the world of sin…
-We have an incredible partner in the Holy Spirit, who works on the inside of the their heart.
John 16:13-15   …for He (The Holy Spirit) will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
-Christ’s Spirit, who is in us and empowers us, transmits the heart of the Lord into ours.
Acts 1:8 …you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you & you shall be witnesses…
-The 1st appropriation of the Holy Spirit’s power is to empower our witness to be effective.
Eph. 5:18 …but be filled (continually saturated) with the Spirit, speaking to one another…
-The Spirit enables us to supernaturally impart the truth and love of God (Eph. 4:15).
Eph. 6:10  Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.
-We must be aware of and on guard against the inadequacy of witnessing in our own strength.
1 Cor. 2:1-5 speech …was not with persuasive words of man’s wisdom, but in …the Spirit…
-We must be effectively suspect of our innate tendency to digress to ineffective soulish means.
John 4:16-19 (Christ’s example Word of knowledge)  …“Sir, I perceive you are a prophet.
-The Lord Jesus lovingly confronted her sin through the power and insight of the Holy Spirit.
Luke 18:22 (…Word of Wisdom)  …Sell all you have and give it to the poor… and come and follow Me.
-Like Christ did in this encounter, we should  incorporate both the Law & the Spirit’s unction.

EBOW Action Points  -for implementing the Spirit:
~Don’t rely on having the right strategy alone, but prayerfully and actively be under the empowerment, guidance (Acts 8:26-39) and influence of the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13).
~Praise God daily, for He inhabits our praise (Ps. 22:3) and saturates us with His Spirit (Eph. 5:18).
~The Discipline of the Spirit -merge your mind and set your thoughts on the things of Spirit (Rom. 8:5).
~Active Prayer. Ask for His anointing to come and empower you and soften the heart of your target.
~Be prepared:
      1. Have a “that none perish”  passion  (Mt. 18:14).
      2. A “woe is me if I do not preach the gospel”  conviction  (1 Cor. 9:16).
            3. An “all means necessary” lifestyle  (1 Cor. 9:19-23).

The EBOW Edge & Perspective
*Two children almost drown when they were little. When their dad saw them, everything between him
and them just caved in as he lunged toward them. Is this how God could be looking at His creational
Children? What Divine desperation could exist that we as the Church are not aware of? Do we have His
Heart for the lost? Does your heart earn to see the lost rescued from the danger of hell and God’s wrath?
*Imagine someone casually sitting by, relaxing & reading while a child was drowning right next to them.
What would you say to such a person? Say it to me…. , and maybe I need to say it to you. Go, go, go…
lives are at stake. We see them every day, we pass them by every where we go. Reach out to them, tell them, be used to start the salvation process in them. Effectively sow the
seed of Christ’s truth and grace. Their lives and eternal destination depend on it (1 Cor.2:2-5, 1 Cor. 9:16, 2 Cor. 5:11).
